Frequently Asked Questions


We try to anticipate questions you might have about our PRODUCT / SERVICE and provide the answers here. If you need additional information, write us on the CONTACT US page and we will email or call you back, whatever you prefer.

 

1.

Custom Requests.  I don't see what I need here.  Can I contact you for other custom McGruff products?

Please use the CONTACT US page or call the McGruff sales office at 510-832-1015 (Oakland CA) and let us know what you need.  


2.

Order Confirmations?

Each item is confirmed separately from Geiger's main office in Lewiston ME once it is formally processed at order entry.  Shortly after production of your order, an invoice or invoice receipt will be emailed or sent to you.  


3.

Proofs?

We do NOT keep McGruff product in ready inventory. All of our products are made to order, so an email artwork proof will be sent to you for final approval before production.  Your order will not proceed until we have final approval of the imprint copy.


4.

Payment Options?

We accept all major credit cards and will also invoice most law enforcement agencies and companies, subject to setting up an open account.  Upon receipt of your order, we will contact you to confirm your payment option.  If you use a purchase order system, you can provide a purchase order number to us at that time.  


5.

Production time: How long will my order take?

Most orders require 5-10 days production time.  Add additional time for delivery.  UPS GROUND delivery time will range from 2-5 days depending on your location.  


6.

Returns?

All orders are custom made to order to your imprint specifications, and consequently cannot be returned for a credit.  Of course, we will correct any imprinted products that were not printed according to the approved artwork proof.  Also, any defective goods will be replaced or credited if we are notified within 7 days.  Some products such as the display items have extended warranties that apply.  


7.

Rush Orders. What about RUSH orders?

For last minute events, we can sometimes RUSH your order.  An expedited shipping method may be required and will be confirmed with you before proceeding.  Just let us know that you have a rush date at CONTACT US or by phone or respond to the first confirming email you receive about your order.  


8.

Sales Tax?

Geiger is required to charge sales tax in most states.  However, we will waive sales tax if you provide a sales tax exempt certificate.  We will contact you upon receipt of your order to ask if you are sales tax exempt. 


9.

Shipping/Handling?

Shipping and handling will vary since product ships from various factory locations.  If you need a shipping/handling estimate, one will be provided for you upon request.  You may request one at the Contact Us page or after placing your order. Just reply to the first  order confirmation email and let us know that you need to know shipping/handling.
